Online simulation platform used in Discover Learning Now Supports Dutch, Greek and Spanish Languages

One of the technologies that Discover Learning will make use of is software known as Virtual Case Creator or VCC for short.

VCC helps to create really engaging and interactive scenarios that can be accessed online.  Such scenarios have been used for some time to support health and social care training at Birmingham City University and other organisations. For Discover Learning we are developing a number of virtual scenarios that address the following topics:

·         Environmental Risks within a Home

·         Using Assistive Technology to Support Caring

·         Preventing the Development of Pressure Ulcers  (to be confirmed)

·         Caring for People with Dementia (to be confirmed)

All of the scenarios we develop will need to support the languages used by Carers in the four pilots the Discover project is being evaluated within. To this end therefore we have just completed the first stage of internationalising VCC to support Dutch, Spanish and Greek Carers, in addition to of course the existing English Language support that VCC already offers.
